Chertsey Community Garden

Chertsey Community Garden is a local initiative bringing residents together to enhance and maintain green spaces in our community. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just starting out, everyone is welcome to get involved! Our goal is to create a beautiful, inviting space for all to enjoy while fostering a sense of community and pride in Chertsey.

We’re also entering Runnymede in Bloom 2025 in the Communal Space or Community Garden category—join us in making Chertsey greener and more vibrant!

Please look at our event page to keep up to date with dates and sessions.

Chertsey Litter Picking

Chertsey Clean up was founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown as a way to encourage residents to make the most of their daily exercise while doing something positive for the local community. What started as a small group picking up litter has grown into a thriving volunteer movement with over 700 members.

We organise regular community litter picks, collaborate with local schools for educational clean-up events, and have dedicated volunteers who take pride in maintaining their own roads and neighbourhoods. The group has developed into a self-sustaining community effort, with our online page now largely running itself thanks to the amazing support and dedication of our volunteers.
